Step Three - Start your home search

Once you have made it to step three, you are ready to start the fun part!  Actually going out and looking for your future home.  When you get to this stage, you want to reach out to your realtor to continue through the process.  You could do this alone, but a realtor is there to assist and protect you throughout the home buying process.

Today it is not uncommon for buyers to have seen most of the home available via internet searches such as Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com.  These are great beginning points for a home search. Still, your realtor is the local professional who knows all the details about the neighborhoods, helps you look out for pitfalls with the home, and, more importantly, will help you obtain the goal you have set out to accomplish.

Have honest, open communication about what you are looking for with your realtor.  Make comments as you begin to process what you like and dislike about each home.  The agent will better understand your needs by doing this.

Once that you have found the home that you wish to purchase, this is where your realtor will become very helpful.  Realtors have tools in their arsenal to help you decide what is needed to offer on the home.  Realtors have people they work with, such as inspections, carpenters, painters, etc. to help you during your home buying adventure.
